Share the Good News!Review by Debbie J
This high quality board book is so cute! Even my 8-year old loves it! Newly bloomed flowers, growing leaves, baby animals and butterflies all tell of once being hidden or small to being out and about! This leaves the reader to the last page about Jesus being in the tomb, dead, but is now alive — to love and to save! What a message! What a great way to share Easter with little friends! Thank you, Glenys for another great title, Jesus is risen! (Posted on 3/22/2019)
Being Intentional with Good News!Review by Tracy Parker
What I appreciate about Good News! It's Easter...
We often forget that books aren't just for reading, but they are also important for beginning a conversation with our children. I love that message that proclaims there is good news in what our Creator God has given us. What an important message to help our little ones begin to grasp. Not only did God bring good news through creation but through His Son - "I was dead but now I'm back, to live and love and save!" I am using this book as a tool to share simple and beautiful truths to my young grand children. I want them to know at an early age that there is a great BIG God who loves them and has an amazing plan for their lives. What better way to impart that truth than with the assistance of this precious book. Thank you Glenys for giving us wonderful words reinforce this. (Posted on 3/21/2019)
So excited...Review by Carol A.
when Glenys Nellist writes another book..she has such a beautiful gift of bringing the message of Jesus to young (and older) readers. I have three nieces I share them with, and find they make wonderful baby shower gifts. And what would her words be without the frosting on the cake! Lizzie Walkley brings such sweetness to the bunny...Jesus stroking him under the chin on the last page brought tears to my eyes. Well done, ladies! (Posted on 3/16/2019)
Love This book of New Beginnings!Review by Suzy Parish
Glenys Nellist is my favorite children's author, so I'm always looking forward to her next book. This one takes us on a journey through a beautiful field and introduces us to characters who are each celebrating new beginnings. The tulip springs from the ground to celebrate in the sunshine. The bunny bounces so high. The story of the butterfly and the frog as they transform is a great metaphor for the Christian rebirth. The ending with Christ saying He is about to do something new is such an encouragement for parents even as they read this to their child. A great affirmation of faith. I am always surprised how Glenys can portray spiritual truths in so few words. This is a board book, with glossy pages that wipe clean. Thank you Glenys, you did it again! Thank you, Discover House for an advance reader copy. (Posted on 3/14/2019)

You will love this spring story with a resurrection messageReview by Jeanne
Glenys Nellist captures the wonder of Easter using familiar signs of spring as little ones observe new life after a long winter. And new life is what Easter is all about.

Lizzie Walkley's clear and bright illustrations hint of new life on each successive page. My favorite is the awakening chrysalis on the oak branch revealing a monarch butterfly as the page is turned.

This story of new beginnings springs forth through the flowers, animals, trees, insects, birds, water life and culminates in the One who makes all creation new--Jesus who rose from the grave.

I find it difficult to find true Easter stories with a resurrection theme for children. Good News! It's Easter, will be a sweet addition to your little one's library.

fantastic conversation starterReview by Christie
My 4-year-old and I LOVED poring over this book. The rhythm-and-rhyme is impeccable and the illustrations are so metaphorical. We loved tracing the the path to the empty tomb, after which we went back and noticed all the animal clues on each page. Then we talked about how each creature (or leaf :) experiences a surprising change, leading to a great little conversation about Jesus' new life! (Posted on 3/5/2019)
